Timbre @ old school

okay. today's plan was to... dine at sunset grill, followed by rock band at eugene's place. but what happens is always far from what we plan. so this is what happened.

i went to meet the guys at pasir ris mrt after audrey called.(i didn't know it was at 6, so i'm waiting at home)

next was to pick daniel from some mrt station. so we went to the mrt station. but we didn't know what's taking him so long, so after a few calls, we left for sunset grill ourselves.

When we arrived at sunset grill, the queue was 2hrs. (1hr for table, 1hr for food) That's when we decided to dine at some other places.

After some discussion, we decided on.. timbre. and so we went to timbre.

after a series of funny events(after which i concluded that jason is very conscious about what people think of his driving), we finally arrived at timbre. so we queued, for.. ard 45mins to an hour i believe. then we got a bar table with 4 seats(temporary, cause we have 7 people).

and after 15mins or so, we had a table to ourselves. so we ordered our food quickly, as all of us were very hungry.

so we chatted as we waited.

and the food is still not here!

and so we asked the waiter about our food, he said he'll go and check.

after like 3 tries or more, a lady finally came out with our receipt, and said, 'nothing is served yet right? There's a conflict in the kitchen'.

and we immediately knew we had to wait longer.

so we waited.

and waited.

And the guy came, he told us the buffalo wings were in the fire, and the pizza is being prepared.

and so we were really looking forward to this appetizing tapas(or what they call the main dishes).

and the pizza came.

and so we ate.

and for once in my life, i experience this feeling of "when you start, you can't stop"

all of us really ATE AND ATE AND ATE AND ATE AND ATE. we finished 4 thin crust pizza in less than 10minutes i believe.

after that, we were asking for our buffalo wings that is supposed to be in the fire ten minutes ago.

so we waited. and waited.

and a waiter came, and said, i forgot what he said, but he said one pizza on the house, discount and buffalo wings are not coming. AUDREY WAS DAMN GRUMPS ABOUT THIS, SHE REALLY GAVE THIS UNHAPPY FACE. but there's no choice. so we decided to go somewhere else to eat and fill daniel guo's stomach.

anyway, the bill totaled $22.60 per pax for 7 pax.

We ordered:

i guess it's quite cheap la.

And after that, we went to simpang to eat.

then this waiter was really funny. he said, "we don't have plain prata, but the rest we have."

so we started making comments about it.....

and ultimately, we ordered a drink each, and one meegoreng(by daniel),

and a banana with milk prata(audrey).

jason, guess what's in a banana with milk prata?

it's banana and milk.....

haha, but i guess simpang wasn't as great as timbre, so we left the place(not very happily)

anyway, just to add, the lady at the live band @ timbre was great!

and after that, jason sent us all back home. Thanks!
