RESPECT

personally, i feel that what we lack in our society that will make the world a much better place is respect. a simple word, with a complicated meaning, and even more difficult to perform.

Respect others, and they will respect you.
Rank is what you wear, but respect is what you earn.

these are common phrases that we hear in our lives, that i'd classify them as cliches.
BUT, the question is, what do we really think about of these phrases.
Can we really earn respect by first respecting others?
Can we dominate others from being respectable, or do we do so by being more highly ranked?

Basically, if you think about the world as an ideal place(just like ideal gases and Perfect Competition), it is really possible to earn respect by first respecting others. Think about it. when the whole world runs on this basic principle, there'll be no controversy about the respect you'll receive after taking the step of faith of respecting them. As such, the whole world will live respecting everyone around them.
Also, while rank may allow you to dominate their actions, respect is the factor that will allow you to dominate both their actions, and their hearts.

When you respect another, you do not ridicule the way they behave and think, much less the way they live. Imagine, though difficult, a world where there is perfect mutual respect. It'll be a wonderful world to live in.
