And I noticed that my runs are getting shorter and faster ever since I started running in NUS.

Life's principles.
(1) Do what you like to do, and don't do what you don't like to do. But if you have no choice but to do something that you don't enjoy doing, then you better start enjoying the thing you don't like to do.
