NUS Sports Camp '11 - Chilli Bomb

It's really heartening to see how committed each and everyone of you are to the OG, that you try your best to at least turn up for the OG outing, be it only for a few hours, even though you have got many other commitments. Needless to say, there will be many more to come, and I sincerely hope that you will all remain as committed as you currently are. 

Then again, I was reminded by what Jasmine actually told me on the last day of Sports Camp - Sports Camp OG do not usually go a long way; most of them disperse into their cliques due to their hectic schedules, etc - There is no gravity. 

With this, I can't help but feel skeptical about what's going on right now. Is this what people call '三分钟热度', whereby it is a momentary feeling, or what some might term as impulse? Are we going to go our separate ways like the many OGs from the many sports camp before us? 

Thinking about it, it really isn't that difficult to stay together - It merely takes a little more commitment from each of us, and a little push of our OG up our priority list. Ultimately, it is our choice whether or not we stay together as an OG. 

I really do hope that we will all stay committed to this OG, be it as a councilor or a freshie, even after school starts, even after we get further separated when we enter the society, or even when some of us move overseas. The notion of 'staying together' does not mean that we have to meet up frequently. In fact, it's not even close. Staying together simply suggest that we take a little more initiative in our personal capacity to know more about how our fellow OG members are doing, a little more concern, and definitely a little more effort to keep in touch.

And while we cannot proclaim to be much more than an OG for now, I do hope that we can actually call each other close friends in the future. To add, I truly appreciate each and every single one of you in the OG. However, because I am really not that good in PR, there will be instances where I might have offended you. Do take relief in knowing that any offence towards you is not intentional, and I apologize for it. 

To those with similar sentiments, let this be a little reminder, that every time we see this message, we will try our very best, to stay committed, connected to this OG.
