What is wrong with our government
This is a very good read, which highlights the many flaws in our government right now.
True enough, economy is growing, GDP is growing, outlook is improving. But are there other issues that we should be concerned with?
What about ACCOUNTABILITY, and our seriously lacking free press?
SPH's mission is "To inform, educate, and entertain"
Entertain, definitely. Not the good entertainment though.
SPH's vision is "To be South East Asia's Learning Media Organization, Engaging Minds and Enriching Lives Across Multiple Languages and Platforms"
really? Before you are able to break the international boundaries, maybe you should be looking what is happening to within our boundary.
Sorry to all who works for SPH. Not a personal attack to you, but merely my opinion on your organization. I still like to read news on straitstimes.com because the website is just so user-friendly. But I am definitely sceptical when the news have any relation to politics and our government.
Let's not judge them so quickly, and wait to see what SPH publishes on Cooling Off day, shall we?
