I often hear complains about the crowd on public transport, prices of housing and many many many things. I shall touch on the issue on overcrowding in our public transport system.
I would like to appeal to two groups of people. They are(in a train example)
1) The one who makes the train crowded - You.
2) The one who controls how crowded the train is.
No, I'm not asking you to stop taking the train so that the train will be one man less crowded. So, if you want to make the train less crowded, please, do something that influences more than one person, because I'm almost certainly sure that you are capable of that. And tackle the right people using the right channel, because the last thing you want is to see less of your friends taking the train because you posted something on your facebook wall.
If not, put your feedback/complains to the right channel so that your voice can be heard by the right people so that they can do the right thing. Sometimes, they just don't know.
But in this case, they already know. That's when I appeal to the second group of people to do something.
Yes, we have a lot of foreign talents taking up 'our space' on the train. And we recognize that it is more harmful that beneficial to chase them out of our society. So, let's just leave it at that. What we can control is the rate of FUTURE foreign talent inflow, the frequency of the train(I know there is a limitation, but with some brainstorming, I'm sure something can be done to mitigate the crowd, so start using your brains, human capital!)
Then again, if you really feel so irritated that every train ride causes you emotional/mental distress, maybe you should start considering other mode of transports.
There are some things that we cannot change - Accept them. But change the things we can.
