work work

this is an update of situation at the battlefront : the workplace.

Because OnTrac(something like IVLE) is down for maintanance for one week, students who wish to sign up for workshops and talks have to do so via the Office of Career Services. This means that, their e-mail will come into MY INBOX. ok, i shall copy and paste a status I posted on facebook here to facilitate your understanding.

omg. it have been 1hr + and i have only answered 40+ e-mails. 140 more to go....

yes. and as you would have guessed it, I really did spend a WHOLE day replying their e-mails and registering them for their event. The only other thing I did today was to update the attendance for the students Internship Briefing that was held yesterday.

For something more exciting, Li Wei actually dropped by my workplace for an interview with my immediate superior's boss. (they call it RO-reporting officer)

I think all was well, just that Li Wei cannot commit for the necessary period of time, cause he's going america in the end of may. So we shall see whether he will still be offered the job.

And, we went to Food for Thought for lunch. I had their Full(?) Works.(the most expensive one). It was great, loads of breakfast items in it. and since Li Wei knows the chef (David), he actually prepared a complimentary salad on the house. Basic salad ingredients topped with wasabi and soy sauce. tastes unique, but unfortunately, i'm not a wasabi person.

And Li Wei ordered his Steak with Cheese(Medium). It's very nice.

Overall, other than the fact that the place is a little pricey, I would recommend all you blog viewers to dine at the place.

Also, you can choose to do so at the 'Standing Sushi Bar' located adjacent to the Food for Thought Restaurant. I had the Sashimi set, it was WONDERFUL. Freshest and probably the MOST delicious sashimi I have tasted. And their sashimi are very thick. Also recommended for those who are in favor of Japanese food, yet not minding a higher price.

For your info, both restaurant would probably cost $20+ per person.
